Stronger Together
Coach-led strength training for women who want to be stronger for the next thirty years — six to a session, never a class.
A lot of the women who walk into our Main St studio say some version of the same thing: they know strength training matters now, and they don’t want to figure it out alone on a gym floor. That’s the whole reason we coach the way we do.
Sessions are capped at six, with a professional coach in the room every time. Your program is built around your body, your history, and what you want to be able to do — not a class everyone follows at the same pace.
Most of our members are adults 40 and over, training for life rather than for a competition. Strength, balance, and staying capable are the point — and the research on training for those is unusually clear. Your coach progresses you as you get stronger, and modifies anything that needs modifying along the way.
Many members start after months or years away from exercise, and plenty arrive with a knee or a shoulder or a back that has opinions. Both are normal here. Every workout is coached and scaled to where you actually are — that’s the entire point of having a coach in the room.
“The atmosphere is welcoming, supportive and motivating, and the workouts are challenging in the best way.”

No. Many members walk in after months or years away from exercise. Every workout is coached and modified to your current level — the entire point of having a coach in the room is that you don't need to arrive "ready."
Our members are mostly adults 40+ who want to stay strong, capable, and independent — people training for life, not for a competition. If you're after a high-intensity bootcamp scene or a fitness-fanatic gym, we're happily not that.
In a class, everyone does the same workout at the same pace, and one instructor can't watch thirty people. At Alloy Fairfax City, sessions are capped at six and every exercise can be modified or progressed to fit you. No leaderboards, no competitions, no pushing through pain.
Getting started is simple. Book a complimentary Intro Session at 10258 Main St, where you'll meet one-on-one with a coach to talk through your goals, health history, and training experience. We'll complete a functional movement assessment, an InBody body composition analysis, and an introductory workout scaled to you — then recommend the membership that's the best fit. No pressure, no obligation.
